Chris Melloy offers a professional service in the fine tuning, servicing and general repair of pianos and other stringed keyboard instruments. Pianos can be tuned and serviced for domestic clients. Preparation of pianos for professional musicians and concerts has become an increasingly important part of his business.
The cost of fine tuning a piano assuming that it has been tuned within the last 12 months, and that there is no other work to carry out within a 15 mile radius is £75.00, £80.00 to £110.00 above 15 miles. If the pitch needs to be altered the following charges may apply: For pitch raises less than a semitone £95.00, for pitch raises of a semitone or greater £110.00 to £140.00. Everything is explained prior to carrying out any work.
Payment must be made "on the day" by cash, cheque or bank transfer. No credit terms are offered. However organisations can be invoiced but this should be advised prior to taking on the work. Work carried out on account has a 14 day settlement term.
