Chris has gained a wealth of experience in the fine tuning , repair and servicing of pianos over the last 33 years.

He has won awards for his work including the "Kemble Prize for Piano Tuning" at the Royal National College for the Blind, Hereford in 1990 for his outstanding work, and a "Queen Elizabeth Scholarship" award in 1999 to undertake further studies in the servicing of grand pianos. Upon completion of this work Chris gained a pass in the Pianoforte Tuners' Association membership test with honours. 

His clientele include the tuning and preparation of pianos for local professional musicians, pianos are regularly tuned for the Lichfield Garrick Theatre and the Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music. Work is also carried out for Steinway & Sons at Birmingham Conservatoire, the BBC & the CBSO Centre. He has also carried out work at Highgrove House, the home of HRH The Prince Of Wales.

Recently, Chris Melloy has carried out Tuning, Repair and Servicing work for professional musicians. He has been commissioned to carry out regular Concert work for Birmingham Conservatoire and other Birmingham City Centre venues.


Over the last few years Chris has been tuning and maintaining pianos for some of the Welsh music festivals including Aberystwyth's Musicfest and the Machynlleth festivals.
 

In honour of his continuing commitment to the Association of Blind Piano Tuners (ABPT) Chris has been awarded Fellowship of the association.
